Located on the beautiful West Campus of Duke University in the heart of North Carolina's famed Research Triangle Park, the R. David Thomas Executive Conference Center combines state-of-the-art meeting areas and fine technological support with superb accommodations, cuisine and a wide array of recreation and leisure options.

The R. David Thomas Center is comprised of more than 15,000 square feet of function space with dedicated meeting rooms and break-out rooms, plus luxury guest rooms adjacent to six private lounges each with fully-stocked kitchenettes.

Convenient Complete Meeting Package (CMP) rates for day and overnight meetings are available. CMP pricing offers an economical, all-inclusive per-day rate for meetings, accommodations and meals. Golf packages are also available for groups who wish to play the Duke University Golf Club’s championship 18-hole course, designed by Robert Trent Jones.

Classroom Settings
The R. David Thomas Center includes two forum-style classrooms: Executive and Glaxo Wellcome. Each of these 65-seat rooms span 1,764 square feet (164 square meters) and include a host of built-in audiovisual systems.

Audiovisual Support
Each of our 30 meeting rooms offer conference basics such as: white boards and flip charts, VCRs, overhead projectors/document cameras and large-screen monitors. Wireless microphones, laser pointers, computer projectors and full on-line access are available in all function areas, as well. On-site technical support and dedicated planning professionals are always on hand to ensure a flawless meeting.

Room To Recharge
Relax and be productive in 111 comfortable guest rooms, and 2 luxury suites each featuring study areas with desks and credenzas, phone with voice mail and high-speed internet connection. Six guest lounges, conveniently located on each guest room floor, offers internet-linked PCs and laser printers, plus a kitchenette with beverages and snacks available 24 hours a day!

Fitness First
Start your day with a great workout in our fitness center or a jog along the Duke Fitness Trail. Guests can also enjoy a round on Duke University’s magnificent Robert Trent Jones-designed golf course. We also offer outdoor basketball and volleyball courts and space for teambuilding exercises. Guests of the R. David Thomas Center are also allowed access to Duke University’s Wilson Athletic and Aquatic Centers with Olympic pool and workout areas.

Thomas Center Dining Room
In our striking, glass-walled dining room, our culinary staff serves an array of heart-healthy and vegetarian fare, elegantly prepared and complemented by the superior service our guests expect. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets offer a variety of delectable choices, with careful attention to special dietary and cultural preferences.

Thomas Center Club Room
Adjacent to the dining room, the Club Room is perfect for informal socializing after a day of meetings. Snack, beverages, cocktails, big-screen TV and board games can all be found here.
